SC740 is a macro porous polystyrene based, thiol chelating resin,
with functional groups designed a high selective for removal of mercury, and with for other heavy metals from waste water or industrial effluents((when existed as divalent cations).

SC 740 for other heavy metals is Ag>Cu>Pb>Cd>Ni>Co>Fe>Ca>Na.

SC740 is prone to oxidation and long-term contact with the atmosphere is detrimental because of its special structure. It is recommended to store and transport resins under the water protection. Effluent solutions that may typically contain <30ppm of mercury can be treated to reduce the concentration to less than 5ppb residual mercury. It is not economic to regenerate the resin for re-use.

SC740 is able to operate over wide range of pH range, suitable for both acidic and alkaline environments (2-10 PH).
